Robots are getting FAST! 🤖 A humanoid robot just crushed a half-marathon in Beijing on April 19—and yes, it ran faster than the human world record!
The winning bot, made by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, finished the 21 km (13 miles) in just 50 minutes and 26 seconds. For comparison, the human world record holder, Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo, completed the same distance in about 57 minutes back in March.
And get this: that’s a HUGE leap from last year’s robot race winner, which finished in over 2 hours 40 minutes. Talk about a tech upgrade!
What do you think—are we entering the era of robot athletes? 🤔
