Punjab Orders Early Salary Release On April 30 Ahead Of Extended Labour Day Holidays

The Government of Punjab has decided to release salaries earlier than usual for its employees before the upcoming holidays. This step has been taken to make sure workers receive their payments on time and can manage their expenses without difficulty.

According to the Punjab Finance Department, salaries will be paid on April 30. The decision comes ahead of a series of public holidays, including International Workers’ Day, followed by additional holidays and the weekend, creating a longer break for government employees.

Officials explained that early payment will help staff members handle their financial needs during this extended holiday period. It will also reduce any inconvenience that might occur if salaries were delayed due to office closures.

The move has been seen as a positive and employee-friendly decision. Many workers have welcomed the step, saying it will make it easier for them to plan their expenses, especially during days when banks and offices may remain closed.

Authorities added that such measures are part of efforts to improve administrative efficiency and support government employees. Ensuring timely salary payments is considered important for maintaining financial stability for workers and their families.

Officials also noted that departments have been instructed to complete all necessary procedures in advance so that payments are made without any delays.
