AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Co. has reported its strongest financial performance to date, with record earnings achieved in 2025.
The company’s total revenue increased by 15.8% to 75.4 billion yuan, while net profit rose by 6.5% to reach 3.4 billion yuan. Both figures mark the highest results in the company’s history.
The growth continued into early 2026, with first-quarter sales rising sharply by nearly 80%. This strong performance has been linked to higher demand and internal restructuring efforts that improved efficiency and production capacity.
The company has also received increased global attention due to its fighter aircraft programs, including the Chengdu J-10 and JF-17 Thunder. These aircraft gained visibility during the 2025 tensions between India and Pakistan, which contributed to growing international interest.
Reports indicate that several countries, including Indonesia, Iraq, and Bangladesh, have shown interest in these aircraft, potentially boosting export opportunities.
Company officials have highlighted defence exports as a key area for future growth. Expanding into international markets is seen as an important strategy to maintain momentum and strengthen the company’s global presence.
Meanwhile, another unit of the group based in Shenyang has also reported stable growth, even while facing pressure from US sanctions.
