PMD Warns of Heavy Rains, Hailstorms Across Pakistan From May 2

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted a spell of unsettled weather across the upper and central regions of the country from May 2 to May 4. According to the forecast, a fresh westerly wave is set to enter these areas, which is expected to trigger a mix of dust storms, thunderstorms, and rainfall. This incoming system is likely to create fluctuating and unpredictable weather conditions over several days.

Regions including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Islamabad may experience strong gusty winds along with moderate to heavy rain. In certain locations, there is also a possibility of hailstorms, which could add to the intensity of the weather. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, especially during periods of strong winds and heavy downpours, and to take necessary safety measures.

The impact of this weather system could extend until May 5, increasing the likelihood of travel disruptions, temporary road blockages, and localized damage in vulnerable areas. People are advised to stay updated with weather alerts and avoid unnecessary travel during severe conditions to minimize risks.
