Customers Claim Zubaidas Doubled Prices Before 50% Off Sale in Lahore

Many customers in Lahore have raised strong complaints against Zubaidas Homestore. They allege that the popular home store increased the prices of products just before announcing a big “Flat 50% Off” sale at its Liberty Market branch. As a result, the discounted prices are almost the same as the old rates, making the offer look misleading.

The issue went viral on social media in May 2026 during the store’s Grand Relaunch sale, which offered 50% off on everything from May 6 to May 11. Shoppers shared screenshots and old price tags, claiming the store doubled rates on items like furniture, kitchenware, and baby products to create an illusion of huge discounts.

In Pakistan’s tough economic conditions, where inflation is high and people are careful with spending, such tactics have angered many buyers. People say these practices put extra pressure on families already struggling with the rising costs of daily life. Many called it unfair marketing that tricks customers.

Zubaidas Homestore has not yet given any official reply to these allegations. The company promoted the sale heavily on social media, showing crowded stores and happy shoppers, but the complaints have created negative buzz online.

Consumer rights activists say such cases highlight the need for better checks on sale pricing. They advise people to compare prices before buying during discount seasons. This incident has sparked a wider debate on honest advertising in Pakistan’s retail market.
