Lahore Traffic Police Arrested Bike Owner with Over Rs. 2 Million in E-Challans

Lahore Traffic Police have arrested a motorcyclist named Baz Muhammad for allegedly failing to pay e-challans worth more than Rs. 2.08 million. The action was taken during a routine traffic check in the city.

According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Abdul Rahim Shirazi, the man was stopped due to repeated traffic violations. During further investigation, authorities discovered a large number of unpaid fines linked to his name.

Officials said that a total of 421 vehicles, including motorcycles, rickshaws, and other transport vehicles, were registered under the same individual. This unusual record raised concerns and led to immediate action by the traffic police.

The authorities have impounded his motorcycle as part of the enforcement action. In addition, all vehicles registered under his name have been blacklisted to prevent further misuse and violations.

Traffic police officials stated that this case is part of a broader campaign against people who ignore e-challan payments. They added that strict monitoring is being carried out across Lahore to improve traffic discipline and ensure compliance with road laws.

According to official data, more than 100,000 vehicles have already been blacklisted in Lahore as part of the ongoing crackdown on traffic rule violations and unpaid fines.

Officials said the purpose of the campaign is not only to recover unpaid fines but also to discourage repeated violations and promote safer driving habits on city roads.

The traffic department has urged citizens to follow traffic rules and clear any pending e-challans on time to avoid legal action, vehicle seizure, or blacklisting in the future. The operation against defaulters is expected to continue across the city in the coming weeks.
