The 10th China-South Asia Expo will be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province from June 11 to 16. Nearly 800 free booths will be offered to eight South Asian countries at this edition, helping their high-quality products such as textile crafts, jewelry and jade enter Yunnan and the broader Chinese market. Pakistan takes the lead with over 140 booths.
In addition, a procurement matching center will be set up for the first time, alongside a series of supply-demand docking events to further expand trade volume with South Asian nations.
To date, more than 60 countries, regions and international organizations have signed up for the expo, covering all South Asian, Southeast Asian and RCEP member states. Diplomatic missions of seven countries including Italy, Uruguay and Australia will make their debut as national pavilions. A total of 92 Fortune Global 500, China Top 500 enterprises and industry leaders will participate. Over 1,000 professional buyers have registered, among whom overseas buyers account for more than 67%. Enterprises from 36 countries including Germany, Brazil and Egypt will join the procurement activities for the first time.
