Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb announced a special honorarium equivalent to six months’ basic salary for employees of the Finance Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Office who played a key role in the preparation of the federal budget. The announcement was made while he was presenting the budget in the National Assembly.
The finance minister praised the dedication, hard work, and commitment shown by officials and staff members throughout the budget-making process. He also acknowledged the contributions of parliamentarians and other stakeholders who participated in consultations and discussions leading up to the budget. The six-month bonus salary will be awarded as a gesture of appreciation and recognition for the efforts made in formulating and finalizing the country’s fiscal plan.
