Islamabad Plans 1,000-Acre Manhattan-Style City with High-Rises, Central Park & Lake

Islamabad is set to undergo a major urban transformation, with plans for high-rise hotels, shopping malls, and modern residential and commercial complexes, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced.

Under the proposed investment model, prime plots would be offered to investors without upfront payments in exchange for a share in the completed projects.

The plan includes a 1,000-acre Manhattan-style city behind the Prime Minister’s House, featuring modern buildings, a central park, and a lake.

The development would operate under a separate regulatory framework to support its planning and management.

Naqvi also announced plans for a 450-acre safari park, which is envisioned as one of the largest of its kind in Asia.

The proposed developments aim to attract foreign investment, expand tourism, create modern urban facilities, and support economic activity in the federal capital.
