Mysterious Drone Loaded with Her*o!n Cr@shes in Punjab

Police in Sheikhupura district, Punjab, have registered a case against unknown people after a drone carrying about five kilograms of heroin crashed in a residential area of Narang Mandi, Muridke tehsil. The incident created panic among local residents when the drone fell on the rooftop of a house.

According to police, the black-coloured drone likely crashed because of the heavy weight of the narcotics package tied to it. Officers quickly reached the spot, recovered the drone, and seized the suspected heroin. Sheikhupura District Police Officer Bilal Zafar Sheikh confirmed that an investigation is underway.

Authorities have increased patrols in the area and are working to identify those behind the smuggling attempt. Investigators are checking if the drone was part of cross-border trafficking from India or linked to a larger narcotics network operating in the region. Drones have become a common tool for drug smugglers along the Pakistan-India border in recent years due to their ability to avoid ground patrols.

Similar incidents have been reported before in Punjab, where drones carrying heroin or other drugs have crashed or been intercepted. Police are examining the drone’s make, range, and any technical clues that could help trace the operators. The heroin that was found will be sent to a lab for analysis.
