The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved a major investment of Rs. 6.7 billion to carry out extensive renovations and upgrades at the National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi. The project is aimed at transforming one of the country’s most iconic cricket venues into a modern, world-class facility capable of hosting major international events.

The planned improvements will focus on enhancing the overall experience for players, officials, media, and spectators. Upgraded seating, improved hospitality areas, modern dressing rooms, enhanced broadcasting facilities, better lighting, and other infrastructure enhancements are expected to be part of the redevelopment. The goal is to ensure the stadium meets the latest international standards while providing greater comfort and convenience for cricket fans.

The investment forms part of the PCB’s long-term strategy to strengthen Pakistan’s cricket infrastructure and further establish the country as a premier destination for international cricket. By modernizing key venues, the board aims to attract more high-profile tournaments and bilateral series while creating a better matchday experience for spectators.

The renovation of the National Bank Cricket Stadium represents another significant milestone in Pakistan’s efforts to develop world-class sporting facilities and reflects the PCB’s commitment to the continued growth and future of cricket in the country.
