Slow Internet? Pakistani Users Facing Slow Browsing Due to Submarine Cable Fault

Internet users across Pakistan may notice slower browsing speeds and intermittent connectivity issues after internet service provider Nayatel confirmed a fault in an international submarine cable segment that is affecting global internet traffic.

According to the company, the issue originates outside its own network infrastructure and is linked to an international cable system that carries internet data between countries.

Nayatel said its technical teams are actively coordinating with upstream international providers to monitor the situation and help restore normal connectivity as quickly as possible.

As a result of the disruption, some users may experience delays while accessing international websites, cloud-based platforms, streaming services, online games, and other global digital services.

Since the fault lies beyond the company’s local network, repair efforts depend on the teams responsible for maintaining the affected submarine cable.

No official timeline has been announced for the complete restoration of services. Until repairs are completed and international traffic returns to normal, users across Pakistan may continue to experience slower internet speeds or occasional interruptions when accessing overseas online services.

Authorities and service providers have advised customers to remain patient while work continues to resolve the issue.
