Iran Ambassador Thanks Pakistan’s Leadership for Attending Ali Khamenei’s Funeral

Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed sincere thanks to the people and government of Pakistan for taking part in the funeral ceremony of Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

He appreciated Pakistan’s support during Iran’s period of national mourning and acknowledged the solidarity shown by the country.

The ambassador thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior government officials for attending or supporting the funeral ceremonies.

He also appreciated the presence of religious scholars, political leaders, and cultural figures who joined in expressing condolences and standing with the people of Iran.

According to the ambassador, Pakistan’s participation reflected the strong and long-standing relationship between the two neighboring countries. He said that Iran and Pakistan share deep historical, cultural, and religious ties that have strengthened their friendship over many years.

Reza Amiri Moghadam added that both nations have always supported each other during times of happiness as well as difficult moments. He said the mutual respect and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan continue to strengthen their diplomatic relationship and promote regional understanding.

The ambassador expressed hope that the close friendship between the two countries would continue to grow in the future. He emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue, cooperation, and mutual support in areas of shared interest.

He said Pakistan’s gesture of solidarity during the funeral ceremonies demonstrated the enduring bond between the two nations and reflected the values of friendship, respect, and cooperation that have defined Iran-Pakistan relations for decades.
