Punjab may experience an exceptionally intense heatwave over the next three months, with temperatures in parts of southern and central Punjab potentially soaring between 52°C and 55°C, according to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
She also cautioned that the province is expected to receive below-normal rainfall during the period, while northern Punjab, particularly the Pothohar region and Rawalpindi Division, could remain vulnerable to cloudbursts, urban flooding, and flash floods due to unpredictable weather patterns.
Maryam Nawaz urged residents to remain vigilant, follow official weather advisories, and take necessary precautions to stay safe during the extreme conditions.
