“Passengers Fall Asleep On Air-Conditioned Green Buses During Heatwave,” CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has praised the new air-conditioned green buses for giving great relief to people during the severe heatwave. She shared that many passengers feel so comfortable that they fall asleep during their journeys.

These modern electric buses are air-conditioned, have Wi-Fi, and offer a clean and safe travel experience. They run in big and small cities across Punjab, including areas that had poor public transport before. Special seats are available for women, senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities. Travel is free or very cheap for many groups.

Maryam Nawaz said the buses have changed daily commuting. In extreme summer heat, the cool environment inside makes travel easy and relaxing. The project encourages people to leave private vehicles and use public transport instead. This helps reduce traffic and pollution.

The green bus initiative is part of the Punjab government’s plan for better and eco-friendly mass transit. More buses are being added to expand the service. Officials hope it will make life easier for common people and support a cleaner environment.
