Pakistan is preparing to export 5,000 locally assembled MG vehicles to Bangladesh under a landmark agreement between MG Motors Pakistan and RANGS Motors, marking a significant milestone for the country’s automotive industry.
The deal represents Pakistan’s first large-scale export of locally manufactured passenger vehicles and reflects the growing confidence in the quality and capabilities of the nation’s automobile manufacturing sector. It is expected to strengthen trade ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh while opening new opportunities for future automotive exports to regional and international markets.
Officials have described the agreement as a major step toward transforming Pakistan into a regional automotive manufacturing and export hub. They said the initiative aligns with the government’s broader strategy to increase industrial production, expand exports, and attract investment in the manufacturing sector.
The government also highlighted its continued focus on advancing electric vehicle production, battery manufacturing, and local assembly, aiming to enhance Pakistan’s competitiveness in the global automotive market while creating new employment and economic growth opportunities.
