The salaries and benefits of Supreme Court judges in Pakistan have been revised following approval from President Asif Ali Zardari on the recommendation of the federal government.
Under the new package, the Chief Justice of Pakistan will receive a monthly basic salary of Rs. 1.55 million, while other Supreme Court judges will receive Rs. 1.5 million per month. Their basic salaries have increased by Rs. 400,000.
The revised package also includes higher judicial allowances and a monthly medical allowance of Rs. 150,000 for judges.
The changes will take effect retrospectively from December 10, 2025. This means eligible judges will receive arrears along with the revised benefits applicable under the new package.
The salary revision represents a significant increase in the overall compensation available to members of the country’s highest court. Along with the higher basic pay, the additional allowances will further raise the total monthly benefits for Supreme Court judges.
The decision comes as part of the government-approved revision of judicial compensation and benefits. The updated package is expected to provide judges with revised financial and medical benefits under the new structure.
