Google Vice President Announces Free One-Year Gemini Access for Pakistani Students

Google Vice President Wilson has announced one year of free access to Gemini for Pakistani students as the technology giant officially opened its local office in Pakistan, marking a major milestone in the company’s growing presence in the country.

Speaking at the inauguration, Wilson described the opening as an important step following more than a decade of investment and engagement in Pakistan. The move is expected to further strengthen Google’s involvement in the country’s rapidly developing technology and digital ecosystem.

As part of the announcement, Pakistani students will receive one year of free access to Google’s Gemini AI tools, giving them an opportunity to explore artificial intelligence for learning, research, productivity and other academic purposes.

Wilson also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of transforming Pakistan into a $30 billion IT export hub, highlighting the country’s potential in technology, digital services and AI-driven industries.
