Punjab Orders Public Schools to Mark 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal With Seerat-un-Nabi Activities

The Punjab government has directed public schools across the province to observe 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal with activities focused on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The occasion will be observed on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Under the instructions, schools will arrange Quran recitation, Naat, speeches, essay-writing competitions, and quizzes based on Seerat-un-Nabi. The activities are intended to help students learn about the Prophet’s life and teachings through educational and religious programmes.

School administrations have been asked to complete preparations ahead of the event. District education officers will monitor the programmes and ensure that schools follow the instructions. They will also oversee the arrangements at the local level.

Schools have further been directed to submit compliance reports along with photographs and videos of the activities on the same day. The provincial government has also asked schools to ensure that all planned programmes are properly arranged.
