Talpur made the remarks while discussing the Sindh government’s performance and healthcare facilities. He highlighted the province’s public healthcare services and the work being carried out through government hospitals and specialised medical institutions. His comments have attracted attention because of the comparison with healthcare systems in developed countries.
Sindh has introduced several healthcare programmes aimed at improving access to treatment. These include emergency ambulance services and telemedicine facilities that allow people to seek medical advice remotely. The province also has major specialised institutions providing cardiac and other medical services.
However, Pakistan’s healthcare system continues to face challenges, including shortages of medical staff and differences in access between urban and rural areas. These issues have led to ongoing debate about the quality and reach of public healthcare services.
