Punjab Braces for Ninth and Final Monsoon Spell from Today

Punjab is preparing for another round of monsoon rain as the ninth and expected final spell of the season begins across parts of the province. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned that the spell will continue until September 17.

According to the latest weather alerts, rain is expected in several districts, including Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang and Attock. Lahore, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Narowal and Mandi Bahauddin are also expected to receive rain during the spell.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in affected areas. Lahore is expected to see rainfall mainly from September 14 to 17.

Authorities have been directed to remain prepared for possible urban flooding, flash floods and other weather-related problems. People in low-lying areas have been advised to take precautions, while district administrations and emergency departments have been placed on alert.
