US President Donald Trump has said that Washington remains open to engaging with Iran on a possible peace agreement, suggesting that Tehran is eager to reach a deal.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Iran wants to negotiate “quickly and badly” as tensions between the two countries continue to draw international attention.
Trump added that he would personally decide whether the United States would move forward with engagement, while keeping the possibility of negotiations open.
His remarks signal a potential diplomatic path as efforts to ease tensions remain under discussion, although no formal agreement or talks have been confirmed.
