Newly Launched Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro And Pro Max Can Reach 50% Charge In 15 Minutes

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to support faster charging, with both models reportedly capable of reaching around 50% battery capacity in just 15 minutes when paired with a compatible power adapter rated at 60W or higher.

However, simply using a 60W charger may not be enough to achieve these charging speeds. The adapter also needs to support SPR AVS technology, which allows the iPhone and charger to communicate and negotiate an appropriate voltage for faster and safer charging.

As a result, many chargers rated at 60W or more may not deliver the maximum charging performance.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max also reportedly comes with a battery exceeding 20Wh, which can trigger additional requirements when the device is being shipped.

To address this, Apple’s ā€œPrepare to Shipā€ feature can temporarily discharge the battery below the 20Wh threshold when an iPhone is being prepared for shipping, repair, or trade-in.

Once the device is activated again, the restriction is automatically removed, allowing the battery to operate normally.

The feature is designed to help simplify shipping and handling requirements while maintaining the device’s regular functionality for users.
