South Air has started direct flights between Islamabad and Multan, giving passengers another domestic travel option between the two cities.
The airline operated its first flight on September 18, 2026. The inaugural service travelled from Islamabad to Multan International Airport with 37 passengers and six crew members. Airport officials and South Air representatives welcomed the aircraft with a ceremony at the domestic arrivals area.
South Air will initially operate 16 flight movements each week on the new route. The service is scheduled to run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, providing connections on five days of the week.
The Islamabad-Multan route is part of South Air’s wider plan to expand domestic air connectivity in Pakistan. The airline’s official route map lists both Islamabad and Multan among its destinations, along with several other cities across the country.
South Air has also been expanding its network to other regional destinations. In July, the airline resumed commercial flights from Bahawalpur Airport through a Karachi-Bahawalpur-Islamabad service.
