Pakistan’s Manesha Ali has secured a gold medal at the IMMAF World Cup in Luanda, Angola, after defeating host fighter Leonela Isabel Blaiye by submission in the second round.
Representing Brave Gym in Lahore, Manesha delivered a decisive finish with a standing guillotine, submitting her opponent with only 15 seconds remaining in the round. Her victory came against an international field featuring teams and competitors from different parts of the world.
Manesha, who belongs to Gilgit-Baltistan, has continued to make progress in amateur mixed martial arts through her training and international competition. Her latest win adds another achievement to her developing career.
Following the World Cup, Manesha is scheduled to compete at the Pakistan Open before turning her attention to the IMMAF World Championships in Georgia, which are set to begin on November 1.
The Pakistani fighter has set ambitious goals for her future in the sport. She aims to become an IMMAF world champion and hopes to become the first Pakistani woman to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Her performance in Angola has provided further momentum as she prepares for the upcoming competitions and continues working toward her long-term goals in mixed martial arts.
