Iran Gives 5 Days to US to Accept Conditions for Resuming Negotiations

Iran has reportedly given the United States five days to accept its conditions for the resumption of negotiations. Tehran has said that talks will not restart unless Washington agrees to the demands put forward by Iran.

The development comes amid heightened tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for global energy shipments.

Iran has also indicated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until its conditions are addressed. The country is seeking assurances from the United States regarding the waterway, along with measures aimed at rebuilding trust between the two sides

Tehran considers guarantees over the Strait an important part of any future negotiations.

The reported deadline adds another layer to ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States. Any agreement on the conditions could determine whether diplomatic talks resume and whether the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz changes. Further developments are expected as the five-day period progresses.
