To make things easier for passengers, AirBlue cut its fares dramatically. The price of a one-way ticket from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad has been slashed to Rs4,847 by AirBlue. The cost of a new airline ticket is far less than the cost of a rail or bus ticket.
On the other side, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has now agreed to run direct flights twice a week from Karachi to Skardu.
According to a spokesman for the national aircraft carrier, an Airbus A320 flight will be conducted between Karachi and Skardu to enhance tourism in the northern territories.
