The Sindh government has announced plans to provide electric scooters to up to 50,000 women across the province as part of its Pink EV Scooty programme. Sindh Senior Minister for Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon made the announcement during a ceremony in Mirpurkhas on September 26, 2026.
Memon said the programme will continue for women who obtain the required driving licence. The government has already distributed more than 810 scooters, while over 2,000 women have received riding and related training. More than 50,000 women have applied for the scooter and training programme so far.
Applicants must complete the required training and pass the driving test. Recent instructions also state that a permanent motorcycle licence is required for receiving a scooter, while a learner licence alone is not enough.

- Visit the official Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) Pink Scooty registration portal.
- Enter personal details, CNIC, contact information and division.
- Upload the required documents, including CNIC, domicile, PRC, motorcycle licence and student or employee card.
- Submit the application and wait for verification and selection.
Applicants should use only the official SMTA website and avoid unofficial links or social media forms, as authorities have previously warned about fake Pink Scooty advertisements.
