Pakistan Will defend Saudi Arabia under Makkah Pact, Everyone is Ready to Sacrifice their Lives for Two Holy Mosques, Ishaq Dar

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has announced that an emergency meeting under the Makkah Defence Alliance is expected to take place next week to review the latest developments and security situation in Saudi Arabia.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to defending Saudi Arabia under the existing agreement, while noting that more than six countries have expressed interest in becoming part of the alliance.

He said regional cooperation remains important amid growing security challenges.

The foreign minister also called for unrestricted passage through the Strait of Hormuz, arguing that vessels should not face additional fees or service charges.

The strategically important waterway remains a major concern for regional trade and energy supplies.

During his remarks, Dar also discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Iran-US conflict and addressed security concerns linked to Afghanistan.

He emphasized Pakistan’s position in support of regional peace, stability and diplomatic engagement to address ongoing tensions.
