Ministry of Energy Announces Management Trainee Programme With Monthly Stipend

The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) has opened applications for its one-year Management Trainee Programme, offering young Pakistani graduates an opportunity to gain professional experience in the public-sector organization. The programme includes positions in Sales & Marketing and Legal, with selected trainees set to receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000.

Two Positions Available

PMDC is offering one position for Management Trainee – Sales & Marketing and another for Management Trainee – Legal. The Sales & Marketing position requires a BBA or MBA in Marketing with at least 16 years of education, while candidates applying for the Legal position must hold a BA-LLB degree.

Eligibility Requirements

The programme is open to Pakistani nationals who have completed their degrees from institutions recognised by the Higher Education Commission. Applicants must have at least 16 years of education, a minimum 3.0 CGPA, and must have graduated during 2025 or 2026. The maximum age limit is 28 years, while post-qualification experience is not mandatory.

Rs. 80,000 Monthly Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a lump-sum monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000 throughout the one-year training period. PMDC has clarified that the programme is a contractual training arrangement and does not establish a regular employer-employee relationship. Completion of the programme also does not guarantee permanent employment with PMDC.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will go through a written assessment and interview. The selection criteria assign 30% weightage to academic performance, 40% to the written test and 30% to the interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the subsequent stages, and PMDC has stated that no TA/DA will be provided for the recruitment process.

Application Deadline

Interested candidates can apply online through PMDC’s official careers portal. The deadline for both Management Trainee positions is October 13, 2026. PMDC’s careers page currently lists both vacancies as OPEN.

Applicants are advised to review the eligibility requirements and submit complete applications before the deadline. The programme provides eligible graduates with a one-year opportunity to develop professional skills and gain practical exposure within PMDC.
