Islamabad to Spend Rs. 1 Billion On Branding and Decoration

Islamabad’s Metropolitan Corporation (MCI) has allocated Rs1 billion for city branding, decoration and event management services throughout the year.

The budget is intended to support a range of official activities, including national celebrations, major public events and arrangements for welcoming foreign dignitaries visiting the capital.

According to MCI officials, around Rs600 million was spent on similar services last year. The increased allocation reflects higher costs as well as expectations of more international events and official activities taking place in Islamabad during the coming year.

Under the plan, a two-year rate-running contract will be awarded through a competitive procurement process, with the possibility of extending it for another year.

The selected contractor will be responsible for outdoor branding, event management, decorations and other related services across different locations in Islamabad.

The procurement process will be based on the selection of the lowest qualified bidder. The move is aimed at ensuring that the capital is appropriately prepared for national occasions, international delegations and large-scale events while managing the logistical and branding requirements associated with such activities.
