PCB Home Match Rights Sold for Rs. 350 Million to PTV, at Almost Half of Reserved Price

PTV Secures Pakistan’s Home Cricket Broadcasting Rights for Rs. 350 Million

Pakistan’s home cricket broadcasting rights have been awarded to state broadcaster Pakistan Television (PTV) for Rs. 350 million after it emerged as the only bidder in the bidding process.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had set the reserve price at Rs. 600 million, making the final agreement significantly lower than the initial benchmark.

The agreement covers 25 international matches, including five Test matches, 14 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and six T20 Internationals (T20Is).

Pakistan’s upcoming home schedule includes series against Sri Lanka, Ireland and New Zealand, as well as planned triangular ODI tournaments.

The development comes amid limited interest from major broadcasters, with PTV being the sole bidder for the rights. Some upcoming fixtures have also faced reported concerns over touring arrangements, although the PCB has not officially confirmed any cancellations. The deal highlights the current broadcasting landscape surrounding Pakistan’s home cricket matches.
