NADRA Allows Pakistanis to Update CNIC Photos and Addresses Online

Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has made it more convenient for citizens to update their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) photographs and permanent addresses through the Pak ID mobile application.

The facility allows eligible applicants to complete the process from home, reducing the need to visit NADRA registration centres for these services.

To submit an application, users need to log in to the Pak ID app and select the “Identity Card” option. They can then choose “Myself” or “My Blood Relatives,” depending on whose record requires an update.

Applicants must provide the required information, follow the instructions displayed in the application, and submit their request for processing.

The mobile application also offers additional digital identity services. These include digital identity cards for spouses and eligible children, along with QR-code verification for certain documents. These features are intended to make identity-related services more accessible and simplify document verification for citizens.

Furthermore, the app supports biometric verification for vaccination requirements associated with Hajj and Umrah. This feature can help eligible pilgrims complete relevant verification procedures through digital services, depending on the applicable requirements.

The expanded features reflect NADRA’s efforts to improve access to identity services through digital platforms. Citizens can use the Pak ID application to explore available services and check the specific requirements for their applications before submitting their requests.
