Iranian Fishermen Find iPhones and Perfumes Floating in Strait of Hormuz

Hundreds of iPhones, French perfumes and other imported products have reportedly been recovered by Iranian fishermen and salvage boat operators following the sinking of the Singapore-flagged cargo vessel GFS Pride in the Strait of Hormuz on October 14.

The recovered goods included high-value electronic devices and luxury products that were being transported aboard the ship. The incident attracted attention after local fishermen and salvage teams began retrieving items from the water following the vessel’s sinking.

According to Singaporean authorities, a fire broke out aboard the GFS Pride, forcing the crew to evacuate the vessel. All 21 crew members were safely rescued, and no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a major international shipping route used for transporting goods and energy supplies.

The recovery of imported products following the incident has drawn attention to the fate of the cargo, while the circumstances surrounding the vessel’s sinking and the full extent of the losses remain matters of interest.
