England wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox shared a glimpse of his unusual journey to a training session in Islamabad, where he travelled under presidential-level security.
The cricketer posted a photo on his Instagram story showing a vehicle carrying armed Islamabad Police SWAT commandos following his car. Captioning the picture, “The new way of getting to training,” Cox appeared amused by the extraordinary arrangements accompanying his trip to practice.
Cox is currently in Pakistan for an ODI tri-series, with local authorities providing extensive security for visiting international players.
The arrangements include armed police escorts and specialised security personnel to ensure the safe movement of players between their hotels, training venues and stadiums.
His lighthearted Instagram post offered fans a glimpse into the unusual experience of travelling for cricket practice under such tight security, highlighting the measures Pakistan takes to protect visiting teams during international tours.
