National Refinery Limited Profit Jumps 1,000% to Rs 11.6 Billion in Just 3 Months

National Refinery Limited (NRL) reported a significant increase in profitability for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with its profit after tax rising more than 11 times to Rs11.57 billion, compared with Rs1.03 billion in the same period last year.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) also recorded a substantial increase, climbing to Rs144.68 from Rs12.82 a year earlier, reflecting the sharp improvement in its quarterly financial performance.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)-listed oil refiner also recorded strong growth in revenue. Its net revenue nearly doubled to Rs152.31 billion during the quarter, while gross profit surged more than fivefold to Rs22 billion, indicating a considerable improvement in its earnings before operating expenses and other costs.

However, higher operating expenses and an increased tax burden partially offset the gains achieved during the period.

Despite these additional costs, National Refinery Limited delivered a substantial year-on-year improvement in profitability, supported by stronger revenue and gross profit figures.
