Knergy to Host Technical Symposiums for Pakistan’s Cement Industry

Knergy is bringing its hydrogen and oxygen technology to the spotlight in Pakistan with two technical symposiums aimed at helping cement manufacturers cut fuel costs, improve kiln performance, and reduce carbon emissions. The company will meet industry leaders in Islamabad on October 26 and Karachi on October 29, 2026, to discuss practical solutions for some of the sector’s biggest production challenges.

Headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, Knergy develops systems that inject controlled amounts of hydrogen and oxygen into industrial kilns. Its technology is designed to work with existing equipment, helping cement plants improve fuel combustion without replacing their current systems.

A key focus of the symposiums will be fuel flexibility. Cement plants face changing fuel prices and supply conditions, making it important to use affordable alternatives without affecting production. Knergy will discuss the use of imported coal, local coal, Thar lignite, and petcoke while maintaining stable kiln operations, including when using high-sulphur fuels.

The company’s technology is designed to reduce thermal energy consumption by 30 to 50 kilocalories per kilogram. It also aims to improve clinker reactivity, which can help manufacturers reduce the amount of clinker used in cement and lower carbon emissions. These improvements may help Pakistani cement producers manage energy expenses and prepare for stricter environmental requirements in international markets.

The sessions will also cover plant safety, continuous operations, and system performance. Knergy’s approach includes five safety barriers, computer-based simulations to guide injection design, and training to help plant teams understand and manage the technology.

The Islamabad event will take place at the Marriott Hotel, followed by the Karachi session at Ramada Plaza Airport Hotel. Both events will include technical and commercial discussions, interactive question-and-answer sessions, and individual meetings with Knergy experts Sergio Pelayo, Emiliano Quiroga, and Cassio Da Silva.

Attendance is by invitation only, with limited seats and mandatory registration. The events will give Pakistan’s cement industry an opportunity to explore ways to improve production, control fuel costs, and reduce emissions.

Registration is mandatory, and seats are limited, with only three one-to-one meeting slots available at each venue. Interested participants can register at Knergy to secure their places.
