Islamabad Traffic Police has announced temporary road closures and traffic diversions around Kashmir Chowk for October 24 and 25, advising commuters to plan their journeys in advance to avoid congestion and delays.
According to the traffic advisory, roads leading from Rawal Dam Chowk and Serena Hotel towards Kashmir Chowk will remain closed during the specified period. Motorists have been urged to follow designated alternative routes and cooperate with traffic police personnel deployed in the affected areas.
Commuters travelling towards Rawalpindi, Murree, Bhara Kahu, Park Road, and Lehtrar Road are advised to use alternative routes, including Srinagar Highway, Ninth Avenue, and Shakarparian Road, as directed by traffic officials.
To manage traffic flow and assist motorists, Islamabad Traffic Police personnel will be stationed at key points to guide commuters and facilitate movement along alternative routes.
Citizens have also been advised to leave their homes 20 to 25 minutes earlier than usual to account for potential delays. Motorists are encouraged to follow traffic instructions, remain alert to diversions, and plan their travel accordingly to minimise inconvenience during the road closures.
