Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed pleasure on Friday with what he described as an improving trend in economic statistics and stated that the distribution of 40 million Sehat Insaf Cards across Punjab’s 36 districts would begin on December 31 and end in March of next year.
Mr. Khan chaired a meeting to examine the delivery of Sehat Insaf Cards in Punjab according to the prime minister’s office.
The gathering also told us of the introduction of a huge awareness campaign to improve the usefulness of the health insurance system.
Special Assistants to the PM were Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Health Minister of Punjab, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Health Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and top officials.
In order to implement the project effectively, the Prime Minister directed the relevant agencies to use all resources.
In his statement, the Prime Minister noted that the universal health coverage was the core to the administration’s mission when he called the Sehat Insaf Card a milestone in the government.
He noted that providing high-quality healthcare for the underprivileged was not just the responsibility of the government but also an expression of government priorities.
