On Sunday, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi stated that the University of Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), SMC, and NED University will get hybrid buses from Port Qasim.
Ali Zaidi told media officials that the government will start a new bus service between Port Qasim and the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) to make things easier for staff and visitors. The minister stated that in order to tackle the city’s traffic problem, bridges would be built to ensure free flow of traffic.
According to the minister, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) is already in the midst of an administrative crisis. The minister revealed the government’s intention to establish Pakistan Maritime Services as a public-private partnership. The business will be conducted in the local currency.
