The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested two men in Lahore for allegedly running an illegal website called “Mini NADRA” and trading sensitive personal data of more than 10 million Pakistani citizens.
According to NCCIA officials, the suspects, identified as Muhammad Arsalan and Ali Raza, were arrested during a raid. Investigators recovered around 3 terabytes of data and two mobile phones from their possession.
The recovered information reportedly includes SIM ownership and registration records, call detail records, SIM databases, citizens’ location information and family tree details. Data linked to several government institutions was also found.
Authorities said the suspects allegedly used the “Mini NADRA” website to provide unauthorized access to citizen information. They were also reportedly involved in buying and selling sensitive data and had access to a platform called “Khoji.”
The seized devices and data have been sent for forensic examination. Investigators are trying to find the source of the information and identify other people involved in the alleged network.
