Karachi Traffic police have fined around 8.1 million Challans for more than 8,000 under-age drivers and more than 3,000 vehicle owner/parents in the past 11 days in their campaign against under-age drivers and those guilty for letting under-age passengers to drive.
Spread by Sindh’s High Court, Karachi Traffic Police penalized 8575 minors during the war campaign and imposed Rs. 42,87,500 challan, while 3901 parents/vehicle proprietors were punished on Rs. 39,01,000/- from the 2nd to the 12th September with Rs. 39,01.000 challan. In addition, during the drive, 8247 automobiles were also confiscated.
