Umar Akmal, a Pakistani middle-order batsman, has travelled to the United States in hopes of a better future. In the early hours of Friday morning, Akmal shared the news of his leaving in a tweet.
“I’m going to the US [United States] for some personal meetings, and if everything goes well, I may have to stay there for a while!” I need my followers to pray for me like they have in the past!” Akmal tweeted.
Akmal is expected to play matches while in the United States, according to sources. He, like opener Sami Aslam, wants to sign a long-term contract in the United States. It’s worth noting that Aslam left for the United States after being passed over for Pakistan’s final trip to New Zealand, scheduled for the end of 2020.
