Since the beginning of September, the Karachi Traffic Police (KTP) has cracked down totaling Rs. 28.1 million on juvenile motorists and their parents or motorists.
The development in the context of the KTP’s ongoing crackdown on adolescent drivers and those who allow them to drive, which began on September 1. On the orders of the Sindh High Court, the campaign began.
SSP Traffic City Ahmed Baig told a press conference in Karachi that citations worth Rs. 28.1 million were handed to over 25,800 underage drivers and over 15,100 parents or car owners.
25,867 underage drivers received fines totaling Rs. 13 million, while 15,128 parents or car owners received tickets totaling Rs. 15.1 million.
During the active struggle against minor drivers and their parents or car owners, the KTP also seized 24,553 vehicles.
The SSP Traffic also ordered KTP officers to maintain the same level of vigilance in their anti-juvenile driver campaign.
