Pakistan becomes worst in corruption, law and order in rule of law index.

Pakistan has dropped 10 places to 130th place in the Rule of Law Index 2021 worldwide ranking, with the South Asian country performing poorly in the categories of corruption, fundamental rights, order, and security, according to the report.

According to the World Justice Project’s research, Pakistan ranks 130th out of 139 countries in terms of adherence to the rule of law.

The country, which has a population of roughly 221 million people, is only slightly ahead of Afghanistan in the regional rankings. Pakistan received a dismal 0.39 out of a possible 1 on a scale of 0 to 1, with 1 representing the strictest adherence to the rule of law.

Meanwhile, the country ranks 137th in terms of order and security, while it ranks 124th, 123rd, 126th, and 123rd in terms of civil justice, regulatory enforcement, basic rights, and corruption, respectively.
