At the project’s headquarters, a ceremony was held to mark the first anniversary of the Orange Line Metro Rail Train System’s (OLMRTS) operations.
H.E. Mr. Peng Zhengwu, Chinese Acting Consul General, and Mr. Mirza Naseer Inayat, Managing Director Punjab Mass Transit Authority, graced the occasion as chief guests, while top management from the OLMRTS venture was also present to pay homage to the Pakistani government for its unwavering support, and to the project members for ensuring the availability of world-class service with flawless continuous improvement.
The occasion also marked the passing of a milestone of 20 million passengers who preferred to board the Orange Line trains throughout the year in order to benefit from a 105-minute travel time from Dera Gujran to Ali Town.
