The International Cricket Council (ICC) intends to issue a digital artwork depicting Pakistan’s winning double against India in their T20 World Cup opening in 2021.
If commissioned, the ICC will make the artwork available on its Faze app, a digital collectable platform dedicated to showing and dealing Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs) from the Council’s flagship competitions.
The ICC is considering selling the second of two moments from the same match as a digital collectible.
Apart from their collectible appeal, the ICC has claimed that these NFTs can be utilized in a variety of applications that will be created in the Faze Metaverse over time.
However, the first one, Shaheen Shah Afridi’s smoking dismissal of Rohit Sharma in Pakistan’s sensational T20 World Cup 2021 opener against India, was put up for a vote earlier this week.
