The Government of Punjab has recently implemented an e-stamping system in the province to make things easier for citizens. After the buyer delivers the original CNIC, the e-stamp papers will be given.
This step will minimize the number of counterfeit and phoney stamp papers, which have cost the government millions of rupees.
On its website, the Punjab Board of Revenue stated, “The main objective of the e-stamping system is to prevent paper and process related fraudulent practices, leakage of government revenues, and store information in electronic form and build a central database to make the verification process easier.”
