According to a news statement, the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has decided to send motor vehicle smart cards and number plates via Pakistan Post Urgent Mail Service.
Last week, Pakistan Post began delivering number plates to motor vehicle owners at their homes.
After an agreement was negotiated between the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department and Pakistan Post, the services were made available to the general public.
Vehicle owners have been relieved of the need to visit excise offices after service was provided throughout the province, including Rawalpindi. These are currently being delivered via Pakistan Post’s Urgent Mail service.
Abdul Ghaffar Brohi, the Chief Postmaster, has issued immediate instructions to his personnel to ensure that all received packages are distributed as soon as possible.
It has been revealed that preparations are being made in other provinces, including the federal capital, to make all of these services available to the public through Pakistan Post.
