CAIE Announces O & A Levels Results

On Tuesday, the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) published O Level and IGCSE results from its November 2020 series of approximately 460 schools in Pakistan, ranging from private schools to nationwide semi-government schools.

“This year Cambridge International took the decision to run exams for its global November 2020 series, as the majority of Cambridge schools globally said they wanted to hold exams where it was safe to do so and followed government guidance,” a statement released by the CAIE said.

“The release of today’s results means that thousands of Cambridge students across Pakistan, like their counterparts around the world, can continue their educational journeys as soon as possible despite the Covid-19 pandemic,” the statement added.

It also stated that Cambridge International is collaborating with educational authorities, governments, and schools around the world to create comprehensive guidelines for the safe and effective running of the November 2020 exam series.

According to the CAIE, in the November 2020 examination series, schools in more than 130 countries took part and Cambridge International provided more than 470,000 grades for its International AS and A Levels, IGCSEs and O Levels.

During the exams around the world, about 175,000 students sat in the November 2020 Cambridge International exam series. “To enable more students to sit the November 2020 exams, Cambridge International added extra subjects to the series, which are normally only available in the June 2020 series. These included Cambridge O Level Urdu and Cambridge IGCSE Chinese syllabuses,” the statement said.
